A unique multi-genre, loosely approached cycle dedicated to Renaissance culture is conveniently located in the beautiful surroundings of Opočno and its Renaissance chateau. The local historical monuments and the chateau park attract a lot of visitors who like to visit organized cultural programs.

For a few years, visitors interested in Renaissance dance were meeting in Opočno at the end of August. Time has grown, and since 2016 we have been expanding our performance by inviting the choral singing class of Renaissance music.

In the coming years, the audience will have the opportunity to enjoy a series of concerts, active dances and music workshops, thematic lectures, theater performances and entertainment programs for parents with children every year (from August 20 to September 30).

The individual projects we intend to carry out should contribute to spreading awareness of this wonderful period of European history, also in the context of our region. Czech culture, in general, was not affected too much by the Italian Renaissance spirit. Bohemia is more connected with Baroque culture whose architectural monuments dominate the Czech landscape. That is why it is appropriate, in historical contexts, to seek traces and revive history in places where the Renaissance architecture and spirit are still present.
