A unique, multi-genre, freely conceived series dedicated to Renaissance culture, set in the beautiful surroundings of the town of Opočno and its Renaissance chateau. Graduate of the Conservatory in Pardubice in classical guitar, and of Musicology at Masaryk University in Brno, where he also completed the Academy of Early Music, specializing in lute and theorbo. He works as a teacher at an elementary art school (ZUŠ), researcher, musician, and conductor. In addition to historiographic musicology (focused on the early modern period), his areas of interest include non-European ethnomusicology and the anthropology of music.
As an active musician, he participates in various projects across genres such as alternative music, world music, and early music, utilizing a wide range of historical and ethnic string instruments. He is a theorbist and co-founding member of the ensemble La Bilancetta, which specializes in the performance of Renaissance and early Baroque music.
In Esfahan, he studied Persian traditional music and the Tar under Ashkan Rahbar.
